Murphy the beagle was found dumped and left for dead on a rural country road in Kentucky about five months ago. He was skinny, covered in ticks, had deep scars from animal attacks, and had six teeth cracked down to the bone that had to be removed. When we heard about his situation, we knew we had to drive out and help this poor dog. Despite everything he has been through, he is sweet as hell and just pure innocence. He loves kids and other dogs and is a great little guy. He’s doing a lot better now, but his health issues have turned out to be much more extensive than we anticipated. The vet bills and specialist visits are adding up quickly.

I made a post on socials about selling my gear on eBay to raise funds for his medical care, and was blown away by the comments on the post, the response to the first round of listings, and the offers to donate directly. As someone in the comments said, metalheads are wholesome AF. I still do not really feel right just taking donations. However, a lot of fans mentioned that overseas shipping makes it hard to bid and they still want to help Murphy. Because of the overwhelming sincere offers, I decided to open up the option to donate towards Murphy’s medical care.

Update: So far with the metal community support, we have reached enough to cover an initial consultation with a neurologist for the seizures that Murphy is having. We’ve also been able to pay down a small portion of his previous treatment bills. Thank you!
